How do I convert a step sequencer clip to an audio clip? Is there a specific sequence that is documented for this in Sonar documentation? Thanks.

OK, it is not necessary to render soft synths into audio. Some never do. Instead wait until the final export to render MIDI to audio. Still some find rendering audio before export useful. Bouncing is the original method. This creates a new audio track with the rendered audio. After bouncing the synth, most archive the synth to reclaim the resources used by the synth. Freezing performs a bounce to the current audio track(s) assigned to the synth and archives the synth in one step. Synth audio recording allows real time recording while performing.

It depends on the sound source. Are you using a soft synth or hardware synth?
